James Wyngarde is an author and independent researcher in theoretical cognitive science, philosophy of mind, and artificial intelligence. His work focuses on the structural conditions required for conscious experience and the regulatory processes through which identity is maintained

He is the originator of Unified Regulation Theory (URT), and the Coherent Arc Model (CAM) of identity.
